Freespace Time and Place

For a school project the assignment was to place "something" in a different time and place. With a group of 5 persons we let the visitor experience a battlefield in a car!

After a lot of brainstorming I got the idea to play the battlefield scene of the movie "Braveheart" on a car.

The visitor took place in the car and after we triggered the installation, the whole thing started with an audio sample of a traffic accident where the drivers got into a fight with eachother. After that fight, the beat of an old battle drum faded in followed by the English and Scottish army on the left and right screen of the car. The war starts, arrows flying from the left side over the front window to the right side. The war trembles in the car!

Several visitors were shocked by this installation, because it was kind of frightening. For this project we earned a ribbon, which meant that this project was really good.
